The view of the Angel

Living in Mentana I am able to enjoy the view of the angel everyday. Sant’Angelo Romano, the small village on top of the hills outside Rome, is visibile even on the worst winter day when the rains pound against the windows and the winds howl through the roman pines. It stands above the fog and clouds. It stands unchanged.

Sant’Angelo Romano has acted as a magnet, pulling me back to this place and this house from habitats around the world.

I now wish to share the experience of Sant’Angelo Romano, the roman countryside and the Italian culture with others. The choices are many, the landscape and possibile itineraries vary. Some may wish to learn to cook, others to see the city of Rome. Or perhaps both. One thing remains the same. The magic of the land and the view of the Angel.
